Fragrance Review: Annick Goutal Petite Cherie

I received Annick Goutal's Petite Cherie in my March 2012 Birchbox. The packaging for this fragrance is old looking yet clean and sophisticated. It has gold detailing on a yellow-gold box.

The fragrance is described as fruity, sensual and seductive. It is said to be "reminiscent of a young girl's cheek that you want to lovingly kiss". This fragrance opens with a ripe peach. The heart is infused with pear and rose while the base notes are vanilla and powdery grass.

Overall this is a very innocent and clean fruity scent. It is perfect for any woman who just wants a hint of sweet innocence and sophistication to her. It is a very light fragrance but is longlasting due to it being a perfume. Beautiful Scent very reminiscent of its name "Petite Cherie" or Little Girl.

Product Review: Chanel Chance Fragrances

Chanel presented there Chance line in 2003 with Chanel "Chance". Since then the have added two other fragrances in the line, eau Fraiche (2007) and eau Tendre (2010). The line was designed with a new look for Chanel. The Chance line are the only one's not in the characteristic square bottles, but rather a round bottle. The Chance fragrances are distinctivly different than the traditional Chanel fragrances. "Chance" is the closest to the rich warmth and sophistication of the other Chanel lines. Fraiche and Tendre have a cleaner and younger scents.

Chanel Chance is warm and spicy with a unique twist of floral mixed in. It ties the same elements from the other Chanel fragrances into a new more fresh version. The top notes, which are the ones you predominately spell immediately after you spray it, are hyacinth, pink pepper, patchouli, iris, and pineapple. The middle notes, which are more bining notes that pring all the different scents together in harmony and form the heart of the fragrance, are jasmine and citruses. The base notes, which is where the fragrance will settle into, are vetiver, vanilla, musk, and patchouli. Overall this is a great fragrance for a sophisticated woman who likes a bit of sweet warmth.

Chanel Chance eau Fraiche, pronounced "fresh", is exactly that...fresh. It is the cleanest of the Chance line. The top notes are Cedar and Citruses. The middle notes are jasmine, water hyacinth, and pink pepper. The base notes are teak wood, vetiver, iris, amber, patchouli, and white musk. Overall this is a fragrance for a woman who likes to smell like a woman but wants something no fuss and clean.

Chanel Chance eau Tendre (french for Tender) is the epidamy of the name. It is fresh and young, fruity floral, innocent yet sophisticated. The top notes are Grapefruit and Quince. The quince helps enhance the other scents in this fragrance. The middle notes are hyacinth and jasmine. The base notes of this fragrance are Amber, Virginia Ceder, Iris, and Musk. Overall this is a great fragrance for anyone who loves a soft beautiful scent or a young innocent scent. It can easily cross the age-appropriate spectrum.

Chanel really hit the mark with staying young, fresh, and in the minds-eye with this line.

Available at all Major Department Stores.

Product Review: Coral Actives Retinol Exfoliating Cleanser

I was sent this product by the makers of Coral Actives. I accepted the offer to have them send me their product because I was having troubles with my skin at the time. It was having allergic reactions to nearly everything and I was even breaking out so bad that I couldn't even imagine putting makeup on my face for fear that it would aggravate my skin!

I immediately tried Coral Actives Retinol Exfoliating Cleanser because it appeared to be something that would work to help remedy my problems! The Retinol to control my breakouts, the gentle exfoliating beads to smooth out my skin, and the SeaWhip Extract to soothe my aggravated skin!

I was first impressed with the quality of the packaging. It comes in a white bottle with a cap on it. Under that cap is a pump that puts out just the right amount of product. It is very sleek and no fuss! It also appeared to give you quite a bit of product with 5 fl. oz.!

When I applied the product to my face, it went on so smoothly, without any scratching. It was so smooth that I couldn't believe that it was exfoliating...until I dried my face. It was so smooth and much more even!

After repeated use I noticed a big difference in my skin. My acne cleared up, my allergic reactions subsided, and my skin felt so soothed and smooth.

To be honest, I decided to try out another facial cleanser after my face was cleared up and had been for a while. I tried the other one for 1 week. I had to go back to the Coral Actives because my skin freaked out again! I was back to normal in a few days with this "miracle" cleanser!

Needless to say...this is my holy grail and it would take a lot to pry me away from this sleek white bottle!

Product Review: Revlon Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer

I have trouble with concealers accentuating the fine lines under my eyes. I was looking for a thinner concealer that would do the job and still give me coverage. I found this concealer through a number of recommendations on youtube.

I picked up the concealer in shade "Light". It is a good match for my skin...if night a tad light which is what you are looking for in an undereye concealer.

The pigmentation is very good for this concealer. It does not settle into the fine lines under my eyes and it covers well! A little goes a long way so don't use too much!

Overall I am very pleased with this concealer and will likely re purchase it.

You can purchase this at any drugstore that sells Revlon. Retail $9
