Sephora's Favorite Deluxe Fragrance Sampler for Her: Notes

So I didn't get my posts up for the last two days so I am going to post them all today along with the fragrance review I wore today.

In the sampler from Sephora you get a booklet which describes the style, tones, and what type of women would like it, for each fragrance. I am going to give you an overview of what they wrote and whether I agree with them. I will then give you my review along with a man's take on the fragrance.

The sampler has a mixture of Eau de Toilette Sprays and Eau de Parfum Sprays. I wanted to take a moment to explain the difference. At first I didn't pay attention to that difference in the fragrances.

The first fragrance I wore from this sampler I sprayed my wrists and rubbed them together and then sprayed my neck and clothes. This is an instinctual action for me as I normally use a body spray (which is even lighter or on par with Eau de Toilette) on a daily basis. Fortunately the first fragrance was an Eau de Toilette. Eau de Toilette is the least concentrated perfume of the two. It was designed to be just a light fragrance that doesn't last very long.

Eau de Parfum is the more concentrated perfume of the two. It is the most common perfume on the market and provides a long-lasting fragrance. You may notice with this type that you do not necessarily have to reapply throughout the day. The next day I was to wear an Eau de Parfum and proceeded with the same action as the day before...and nearly gassed myself out. Eau de Parfum's can become very strong very quickly and should be used in a building action. The action I should have done was spraying one spray on my wrist and rubbing them together and bringing my wrist to my neck. Sometimes that is more than enough but you could also add a small amount directly to your neck.
